Perler Bead Mayhem!

Hello, my fellow dragons. Sorry for not posting for such a long time. I am going to try to get on and write more often now. But I assure you that I am not gone for good. With that out of the way, let's begin.

I have been making lots of art with Perler beads lately. They are a lot of fun, but can be quite a pain to iron sometimes. It is still worth your time if you want to have an awesome video game sprite in real life! I will show you what I mean in this first picture. I am sorry for the bad quality of the pictures. They were taken with my phone because I cannot find the camera.

As you can see, I just copied the Mario sprite pixel by pixel with the corresponding color bead. I also made Luigi so that I could have both of the Mario Bros. They look super sick in real life. You almost expect to see the character moving in its animation.

Yoshi! :3 My favorite video game character. This is the first one I made. Not much more to be said here so just take in the awesomeness...

Spyro the Dragon. I wish that I could have found a bit more detailed one to make, but they surprisingly didn't have one that looked good without it being too big.

I'm a kid now! I'm a squid now! Splatoon! They also didn't have many sprites that I could copy off of for the Inklings, so I had to use the ones in Mario Maker. I may try to make more Splatoon perler in the future..

My favorite hero in a half shell, Leonardo! I have always been a fan of the blue-masked leader, so I decided to make him. I might make the rest of the reptilian gang later.

Hamato Yoshi, or, more popularly called, Master Splinter. The ninjitsu master makes his way into my art. Not really for any particular reason, except that he is Splinter. What other reason do I need?

Here is a small Kirby project I made. Only took me about fifteen minutes to make.

That is most of the Perler art I have made so far. I made some more that I had as gifts for my friends, but I never took a picture of them, unfortunately. I hope that you guys enjoyed them. I will be posting more soon as I make more.

Storm's Dragonpedia: Eastern and Western Dragons

Hey, guys, Storm here. I am starting a new blog series called Storm's Dragonpedia. Here I will post all different kinds of dragons. I might add dragons from novels like types of dragons from Wings of Fire or Eragon, for example.

So, to start it off, I am going to talk about the two types of dragons that all dragons are separated into. Eastern Dragons and Western Dragons.

Eastern (Left) and Western (Right) Dragon fighting

The first one I am going to go over is the Western Dragon. Western Dragons are the kinds that you probably first think of when you think of a dragon. They are the kinds that you have read in stories where the dragons eat knights and hoard treasure. Most of them (With a few exceptions that I will get into later) have four legs and two wings. Most of them have long a long tail and neck. They have scales that run down their whole body, and usually have spikes going down from the top of the neck all the way down to the tail.

Western Dragon
Now, Eastern Dragons, on the other hand, are the ones that you would see in Asia. Most Eastern Dragons can shape-shift into a human or any creature. They usually have long, snake-like bodies with no wings, unlike most Western Dragons. They usually have scaly bodies with fur in places, notably it's head and muzzle. Also, a lot of Eastern Dragons have two antlers on top of their head, like a deer would.

Eastern Dragon
As you can see, they differ immensely, and I have only covered the basics about those two types of dragons. I will go deeper into each type in later posts. What is your favorite type of dragon? Eastern or Western? Tell me in the comments below! :)

My Awakening to Fire Emblem

Sup guys, Storm here. Today my good friends came over and let me borrow their 3DS along with their copy of Fire Emblem Awakening. I have never played a Fire Emblem game before, so I was excited to start playing. I have only played for a little bit less than an hour, but it has already hooked me. So now I will share with you my first impressions of the game.
Fire Emblem meme
So first off, creating my character was pretty cool. I always think that it is fun when you get to design who you want to be. I wish that there were some more options for you to use, but it wasn't a big problem. I also like how you can be strong in one ability of your choosing and a weakness in one ability of your choice. For example, you can choose to have more HP and choose to be weaker in magic.

Second, the gameplay itself was cool. I haven't really played many strategy games, but I do like them. Even though I have just started, I have noticed that it really makes you think about your strategy and where you should place your characters and who you should attack. I like how when you go next to the enemy and attack it, it zooms in to the battle for better graphics and cool fighting.
Gameplay
Third, the story is compelling. I don't want to spoil it for people who want to play, even though I just started. But I will say that it brings you along with interest. I wish that there was more I could say on this subject, but I don't want to spoil anything and I would just be writing out the first part of the story, so there is really no point.
Chrom... He is so epic...
So those are my first impressions of Fire Emblem Awakening, If you want to ask me a question, tell me how awesome my play on words was in the title, or just simply want to talk to me, contact me or tell me in the comments below. I read all of my comments and I will be sure to reply. Have a nice day. :)

Improve Your Smash Play with Anther's Ladder

Hey guys! This is my first post. Today I am going to talk to you about a website that has helped me improve in Smash 4 a lot. This website is called Smash Ladder.
Smashladder
Smash Ladder (also called Anther's Ladder) is a website that is designed to help Smashers play online, improve their techniques, and meet other people like them. From the time that I have been on, most of the people are nice. Every once in a while though, you will find someone who is a jerk or just not friendly. But most of the people who are kind will tell you things that you are doing wrong in your gameplay and tell you how to improve those flaws. Anther's Ladder is set up in sets, like a tournament, not individual battles. They even do striking stages like how tournaments do. Every Smash game is available to play here, even fan projects like Project M and Super Smash Flash 2.

They also have a ranking system. The more battles that you win, the more your rank goes up, and the more battles you lose, your rank will drop down. There are three levels of ranking in one general rank. For example, in the bronze level, there is bronze III, II, and I. Same goes for all of the rest of the ranks. Also there are points in each sub rank that go up from 1 to 100. When you hit 100 you will go up a sub rank. The ranks go in this order from least to greatest: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Master, and and Grand Smasher.
The cool part about the ranking system is that higher ranked players cannot just beat lower ranking players for lots of points. For example: If someone who is ranked Bronze I fights a player ranking Gold I, the player who wins will gain no points and player who loses won't lose any.

You also have the ability to put in your location, so that you can fight players close to you. Don't worry about people finding you in real life, however, as the site protects your privacy, and only shows your state and city. And you can change the settings later if you want to only show your state and country.

So if you guys are looking for a good challenge against experienced Smashers, then Anther's Ladder is definitely the website for you! I hope to see you guys on there soon.
